Reports have emerged suggesting Ti Lung and Leo Koo Gui-Gei will be
joining the cast for the third installment of Qing Yao's PRINCESS
RETURNING PEARL (aka MY FAIR PRINCESS; WAN CHU GAK GAK). Reportedly, Leo
Koo will be taking over from Alec Su (So Yau-Pang) in the role of Ng Ah
Gor while Ti will be replacing Cheung Tit-Lam as the Emperor Kin Lung.
Ti's wife, To Man-Ming, confirmed the report when contacted by reporters
from Oriental Daily News. Currently, there is no word on the return of
Vicki Zhao Wei or Ruby Lin (Lam Sum-Yu) for the third part of the series
that has been in a hit in all three regions of China.

The Sun reports that father and son Ti Lung and Shaun Tam Jun-Yin (left)
will soon work together on Taiwanese director Chu Yen-Ping's new film
FUI SIK 2002 (lit. GRAY 2002). In it, Ti Lung will be playing an aging
hitman who goes up against an agressive up-and-comer played by Tam.
Shooting is set to begin in November with Taiwanese actress Yu Li
co-starring. According to The Sun, Ti was originally reluctant to take
the role because he did not want to interfere in his son's developing
career. However, the character and the script were too good to refuse.
Further, Ti reportedly hopes that the project will help raise Tam's
profile in Taiwan.
Commenting on the prospect of working with his father, Shaun Tam
remarked: "Of course I'm nervous about working with him! When we are at
home, it's already awkward because we don't have much to talk about.
When he's on set, he's even more serious. The pressure is on! However, I
told him that when we are acting, he shouldn't hold anything back
because I'm his son. I told him to treat me like any other actor.
Actually, the biggest hurdle isn't working with him, it's speaking
Mandarin Taiwanese style. I'm already practising!"
In related news, Tam will sing the theme song for the movie.

JAN 6 2000, ENTER ANOTHER TOURISM DRAGON
IN YET another sign that the Hongkong Tourist Association (HKTA) might be ditching Hongkong actor Jackie Chan as its tourism ambassador, veteran actor Ti Lung has been chosen to represent the organisation in its new promotions.
On Tuesday, Ti Lung turned up at TVB to rehearse for a promotion in which he will lead a dragon into Hongkong's Times Square. He will also be at a Lunar New Year float procession and fly to Australia for a promotion.
HKTA's choice of Ti Lung for its promotions in the coming Year of the Dragon is significant -- like Chan, Ti Lung's name also means "dragon".

From the latest I've read,
Ti Lung has linked himself with Chang Cheh's next project if there aren't too many action scenes. I'm not sure, however, if the project is a movie or a television series.
As for Chiang, he's in the Mainland filming the latest adaptation of Jin Yong's SMILING PROUD WANDERER (the book the SWORDSMAN movies were based upon).
He's playing the role of Sun Moon Cult aide Kuk Yeung.
(Nov. 1999) Veteran Shaw Brothers movie actor Ti Lung has been the first member of the Hong Kong show business community to openly criticise Jackie Chan's handling of his recent paternity scandal. Chan is alleged to be the father of actress Elaine Ng Yee-lai's new-born baby daughter. Ti Lung, who played Chan's father in the film 'Drunken Master II', told reporters he had called to offer Chan his advice, but the latter had gone his own way. Ti said that he felt the conditions laid down by Chan for a press conference concerning the affair were "authoritarian and unreasonable." Ti Lung observed that Chan has a responsibility as a role model within the entertainment industry. The actor even wrote a short poem for Chan, which means, roughly translated : 'Regrets belong to the past / avoid future mistakes'.

CHANG CHEH TO BE WRITER - PRODUCER OF TV SERIES
Ming Pao (abridged) -- Chang Cheh and Guangdong production company GUI SING (lit. BIG STAR) will be working together on a television serial called LIT FOH SIU NIN CHING (BURNING YOUNG ROMANCE). Chang will produce and write the series. The series will be directed by PRINCESS RETURNING PEARL (WAN CHU GAK GAK) director Suen Shu-Pui. Yeseterday Chang signed the contract for the series. In attendance to support him were: David Chiang Dai-Wai, Tsui Hark, Ti Lung, Johnnie To Kei-Feng, and Chiu Sung-Gei. Tsui Hark had this to say about Chang, "In the 60s and 70s, Chang Cheh made kung fu chilvary films that had wide ranging effects on the industry. Even to this day in Europe and America you can rent his films. So it's essential that I be here today."
The series has not been cast yet but Chang hopes to use Ti Lung and Nicolas Tse Ting-Feng. Ti Lung hinted that if there were not too many action scenes, he would be interested. Ti said, "you wouldn't want to over use a car that's more than fifty years old (referring to himself), so about two months ago when an overseas company wanted me to make a film I turned it down because there were too many action scenes."
