Saturdays were incomplete without a dose of Ti Lung and The Shaw Brothers. I miss that. I always thought he was a much better actor than David Chiang... infinitely cuter as well. And can that boy swing a pole! WOW! Grace and power in one lovely package. I had lost track of him until I saw him in some John Woo movies. I wish he'd make some more "plain" Martial Arts films again or even better, some comedies. I'm not a fan of the "Better Tomorrow" school of blood on the lampshade.

For a peek at the man from his early Shaw days...
Ti Lung Triple Irons. It is 1.6 Meg.

The thing I like about Ti Lung is that the character he plays has remained essentially the same through the whole of his career. He is almost always the upstanding, handsome, good boy who occaisionally falls in with the wrong crowd. Even then, his heart is good and he never hurts innocent people. He eventually realizes the error of his ways or the evil people surrounding him reveal themselves to be evil, and he returns to do good. Nowadays, since he is older after all, it just takes him a bit longer to realize the error of his ways. More guilt and drama can result from that. And don't screw with his family...
I've noticed that he's awfully good at Thai boxing. I know he started as a young man with the Shaw's but .... what did he do before that???!?!?. I've heard he also has studied several types of Martial Arts besides Wing Chun.
His english is also pretty darned good. I wish he'd done some more with that...
I've also been told that he's been in over 120 movies. Guess that filmography is just going to get bigger...
He is one of the sexiest men ever to grace the HK screen, but I know almost nothing about him. I know his birthday is Aug. 3, 1946.
